This year’s third service pack update introduces some exciting functionality to Vectorworks 2022 and Vectorworks Cloud Services.
The updates focus on re-engineering of web viewing and the Nomad app, new storage integrations with the Vectorworks Cloud, updates to Datasmith file exchange for a direct link to Twinmotion, and support for .gITF within the MVR export from Vectorworks Spotlight.
The service pack is available as a downloadable update for all U.S. English-based versions of Vectorworks 2022. To install, select “Check for Updates” from the Vectorworks menu (Mac) or Help menu (Windows). You can update the Nomad app through the Apple App Store or the Google Play store. Vectorworks Nomad and the web view feature in Service Pack 3 employ the Unity platform for some game-changing new functionality. This enables a consistent interface and access to all the same features whether using Nomad's 3D model viewer or exporting a web link.
This has allowed us to implement critical improvements that deliver powerful 3D and AR viewers through Nomad and enhanced 3D model viewing and navigation through Vectorworks’ web view. Until this service pack release, syncing changes to the Vectorworks model with the Twinmotion render didn't happen in real time. This update to the Datasmith Direct Link tool in Vectorworks means you can now immediately send model changes to Twinmotion in real time with the Auto Sync option.
Additionally, the Datasmith export now supports data and light information in the Unreal Engine editor for more data-rich and detailed models.

Supporting the latest .gITF/.glb file format modernizes MVR workflows and allows you to meet DIN Spec 15800:2022 standards.
The update also broadens the adoption of the MVR file format for a wider opportunity for collaboration and easy project information exchange.
