It’s time again for an update to the Vectorworks 2024 product line.

This sixth update contains several developments for reliability, ongoing support for IFC 4, and even a new connection to a partner product in D5 Render. Additional changes amplify the overall quality of Vectorworks 2024 and your experience as a design professional.

Available on Windows operating systems, this new plugin lets you create a live sync between your Vectorworks model and D5 Render, a real-time rendering software that you can use to create photorealistic images of your projects with still images, animations, and panoramas.

The addition of a live sync with D5 Render expands your options for rendering platforms to use alongside Vectorworks, giving you ultimate flexibility in choosing your preferred program.

Quicker processing times when updating referenced data results in minimized delays and a smoother overall experience.

Database rows that define the parameters being reporting into a worksheet can be copied and pasted in the same worksheet or between worksheets. This makes it easier to re-use complex formulas for detailed reporting.

This allows you to quickly match image effect settings between viewports and images without the need to set up or update a viewport style, ensuring consistency between visualizations.

An Elevation Benchmark control point inside a viewport now functions relative to that viewport’s geometry. This makes making changes to your viewports a connected process, since control points will move along with their viewport.

You’ll experience greater reliability when exporting to IFC 4, and you’ll find support for custom symbols in IFC exports.

You’ll notice a new option to create a simplified Inventory Report of all gear shown in the Inventory dialog. This option allows a fast output for a quick overview of gear in your Vectorworks file without having to use a database-driven worksheet.

To install Update 6, please select Check for Updates from the Vectorworks menu (Mac) or Help menu (Windows).
